Ukrposhta issued a new "prophetic" stamp "Russian Navy - to the bottom!"

"Russian Navy - to the bottom!": Ukrposhta continues the legendary series of postage stamps

08.05.2024

On May 8, Ukrposhta officially put into circulation the postage stamp "Russian Navy - to the bottom!", which was issued with the support of the Armed Forces Navy. The new stamp is the third in the legendary series of wartime postage stamps "Russian Warship ...!", and symbolizes the cleansing of the Black Sea from Russian ships.

We will remind that on April 12, 2022, Ukrposhta put into circulation the first postage stamp in wartime conditions - "Russian warship, go...!". And already two days after the official introduction of the stamp into circulation, the enemy cruiser "Moskva", depicted on the stamp, was sent to the bottom by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Thus, the "prophetic" stamp of Ukrposhta became not only a historical, but also a world-famous symbol of resistance of the Ukrainian people.

Ukrposhta has issued a new postage issue "Russian Navy - to the bottom!", which is a continuation of the legendary series of postage stamps of the wartime "Russian Warship...!". The new postal issue features images of warships that have become the heaviest enemy loss inflicted by the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war.

The destruction of a large part of the fleet of the Russian Federation was the most painful event for the terrorist country, and for Ukrainians and Ukrposhta it was an occasion for a new stamp. It should be noted that among the sunken and damaged ships depicted on the stamp is the patrol frigate "Admiral Makarov", which still remains afloat. But already having the experience of issuing a "prophetic" stamp, Ukrposhta hopes that it will become the next target and go to the bottom. After all, the title of the postal issue is "Russian warship - to the bottom!" symbolizes the clearing of the Black Sea from the Russian fleet and points to the place where he should actually drop anchor.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine have destroyed a third of the Black Sea Fleet. Among the enemy's biggest losses there are: dock landing ships Saratov (24 March 2022), Minsk (13 September 2023), Novocherkassk (26 December 2023), Tsezar Kunikov (14 February 2024); guided missile cruiser Moskva (13 April 2022); salvage tug Spasatel Vasily Bekh (17 June 2022); attack submarine Rostov-na-Donu (13 September 2023); patrol ship Sergey Kotov (05 March 2024).
